Cori Lucero

Cori Lucero is the Merced Regional Director of the Central Valley Community Foundation. In her capacity, she manages the Central Valley Opportunity Fund, a philanthropic fund dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in Merced County, California. Prior to that she served as Executive Director of Government and Community Relations at UC Merced having initially come to the campus in 2007 as the first Director of Federal Government Relations. Cori has more than fifteen years of experience in public policy, advocacy and outreach to local, state, and federal government, public relations, and a first-hand knowledge of government process and procedure.
Prior to her time at UC Merced, Cori spent four years on Capitol Hill as the Editorial Director for the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. She was responsible for coordinating all aspects of legislative hearings and publications and acted as liaison to the Senate Parliamentarian, Bill Clerk, House and Senate Committees and the Administration on behalf of the committee.
Cori is an ALF Great Valley Class III Senior Fellow.
